what it costs
The introductory special of $75 for a one-hour
session refers only to the price of the initial massage if the massage is
received and paid for by Friday, September 5, 2008. After that, your
massage will cost the current price of a one-hour massage. Special offers
may not apply.
what counts towards earning the free
massage
Each one-hour (or longer) massage you pay for
counts towards earning a free one-hour massage. A massage session for less
than one hour doesn't count. Longer sessions may be combined when two
people use the same card on the same day. The nine paid massages must be
completed within an 18-month time frame after your first paid massage in order
to earn the free massage. You must have your card with you at the
time of paying for the massage. If you do not have your card with you for
the symbols to be marked, that massage will not count toward the nine needed to
earn the tenth.
the free massage
The free massage can be longer than one hour
if you wish, and you may pay the difference between the cost of a one-hour
massage (currently $85) and the then-current price for the longer session.
You must redeem the 10th (free) massage within six months of earning it (after
the ninth paid massage). You've been doing so well up to this point, why
would you wait, really?
ways to earn your free massage faster
1. Additional massages may be earned by
referring three (3) clients who book and pay for a one-hour massage (or longer).
For every three people you refer, you will receive one balance point (one
yin-yang symbol) towards earning your free massage.
2. You may also purchase three (3) gift
certificates for others to get one of yours crossed off.
transferability
You may certainly share your Rub Club Card
with others. The person whose name is on the card will actually earn the
free massage regardless of with whom you share your card. That free
massage can be given as a gift if you like.

MASSAGE
TECHNIQUES OFFERED
Aromatherapy: The use of
plant-based, naturally occurring oils (essential oils) for
curative and rejuvenating effects. The essential oil is absorbed
through the skin and into the body to affect physiological change;
it affects the limbic area of the brain that is related to emotions
and memories. Especially helpful as an aid to sleep, calming
the mind, and relieving pain. This makes a wonderful
Valentine's Day gift.
Ayurvedic Aromatherapy: Based on your mind-body type
and where you may be experiencing an imbalance or specific aches and
pains, essential oils are mixed into your base massage oil,
customized for you that day. Prepare to let go and be swept
away. Balancing for your body, your mind, and your spirit.
This isn't just a massage, this is an experience.
Chair Massage: This is a seated massage that
does not require a lot of time and is done while fully clothed. This
type of massage therapy increases circulation and stimulates the
muscles. It aids in releasing tension in the back and relaxing the
neck and shoulders. Chair massage is available for health fairs,
wellness fairs, and as part of a
corporate wellness nutrition counseling package.
Deep Tissue Massage: It is designed to reach the
deep portions of the thick muscles, specifically the individual
muscle fibers. Using compression and friction along the grain of the
muscle, its purpose is to untwine the fibers of the muscles and
release both physical and emotional patterns of tension. This
is especially helpful for chronic pain, whiplash, sciatica, and low
back pain.
Reiki:
This non-invasive, balancing energy work is great for calming the
mind, relaxing the body, and soothing the spirit. An ancient
tradition that has come to the West only in the last century, Reiki
is a wonderful modality for people recovering from surgery or who
have wounds or deep pain or other situations where hands-on massage
is contraindicated. Reiki can be done while fully clothed and
can involve the use of visualization and healing crystals.
Sports Massage: This form of massage is used
typically before, during, and after athletic events to prepare the
athlete for peak performance, to avoid fatigue, to relieve swelling,
to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility, and to prevent
injuries. For the athletes and weekend warriors in your life.
Swedish Massage: Swedish massage is
what most people think of when they think of massage. It includes long gliding strokes, kneading,
friction, tapping and shaking motions. It restores health and
promotes well-being. Makes a great gift for someone who's new
to massage.
