Common Questions Is it really possible to get healthier once you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or type II diabetes--and without drugs? Yes, absolutely. Those conditions are a result of choices over time. Start making different choices NOW and your health FUTURE can be very different from your health HISTORY. Now, if you're already taking prescribed medications, please don't stop that! I'll work with you, and you'll continue working with your medical professionals. Together, making bite-sized changes in your diet and lifestyle, we'll get you on a healthier path which may result in your reducing or eliminating the need for prescriptions. Ok, but it's genetic for me. It's all through my family. There is hope! I used to be in the prediabetic category. I have Type II Diabetes all through my family too, and my grandmother suffered many mini-strokes, high blood pressure, cataracts, macular degeneration, and peripheral neuropathy before she finally died of cardiovascular disease. My mother may have had diabetes, but she died of colorectal cancer before it could be confirmed. I decided very early, when my mother died at the age of 41, that I was going to have a different health history. I started making different choices, evaluating a number of foods and tools, and now I can teach you! Get the full story here. Sometimes I like structure. I want to be told what to do. Sometimes I just want to do it myself. You're going to love this program. Think of me as a guide, and you get to set the itinerary. Simply follow my step-by-step, bite-sized recommendations and you too can have more energy, lose weight, eat healthy food that tastes good, get rid of crazy cravings, reduce your blood pressure and cholesterol, and get control of your life again. But the actions you take are completely up to you. How long will this take? You can do it fast or slow, but it will take time either way. It probably took years for your health situation to look the way it does today, and it's going to take concentrated, focused, enthusiastic effort to paint a different picture. Let's work together for six months, and I guarantee that if you follow my simple instructions, your life will not be the same! We're going to look at what you feed your body, as well as what you feed your mind. You may find you want some different nourishment! Who do you work with? My most successful clients are highly-motivated go-getters who understand the connection between diet, nutrition, and lifestyle. You've done the yo-yo-diet thing. You know what gets in your way. You are tired of dieting, willing to do anything (including trying new foods and new habits), to get out of your own way, because you understand that your future is based on the decisions you make and the actions you take today. I do work with many folks who are diabetic or pre-diabetic, but that's not a restriction. If you have a passion for healthy living and you want to learn what that means or do more of that, I'd love to talk with you. Other successful clients are => stay-at-home moms who want to improve the health of their children and themselves by being a better role model, => busy entrepreneurs in the nutrition industry who know they need to walk their talk to be successful personally as well as professionally, and => folks who've tried every diet under the sun and just want to find a way to eat that will be comfortable and healthy for the rest of their life. Those who don't do well with this program are "just give me a diet" folks who are looking for a quick gimmick to fit in a bathing suit or a dress for a reunion in three weeks. No fad diets here, and no quick fixes. If you do well with a "fix it for me" kind of plan, you will not find that here. What does it take to get started? Well, answer this first: Are you committed to changing your own health? Is it time to make your own health a priority? Check out which coaching program might be right for you, and then please contact me to set up a get-acquainted session. This one-hour conversation will be a good start to see if we're a good fit. |
